Under the Auspices of the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities, Madhuram Narayanan Centre for Exceptional Children is happy to announce that the 8th National Workshop on Early Intervention for Children with Mental Retardation and Associated Disabilities will be held in Chennai between 25th - 26th November, 2011, from 09a.m. to 6p.m.

Workshop Objectives
To bring together professionals and personnel involved in the training and management of children, age group birth to 6 years, with special needs in the different disability areas particularly mental retardation and its associated disabilities -- cerebral palsy, autism and Down’s Syndrome, vision, hearing, and multiple disabilities. The workshop will have two components at each session: knowledge content on the recent trends in each disability area, prevention, early detection and intervention, and, skills repertoire, which will be a hands on experience.

Faculty
The faculty will consist of experts of national eminence and many valuable years of experience, who will share their rich expertise with the participants. The workshop will benefit institutions and professionals engaged in services in the different disability areas.

Registration
Registration for the workshop is now open, and the registration fee is Rs. 1000/- per delegate for both days.

Accommodation
