The interactive sessions focused on a range of issues:
- Prevention of disabilities: availability, affordability and accessibility of technology; early detection of chromosomal abnormalities
- Early Intervention for children with disabilities and associated disorders
- The Child’s Brain
- Balancing Therapies with special education in early intervention programmes – a team approach
- Parents as effective carry over agents in the management of their children in home settings
- Developing an Individualized Programme Plan (IEP) for teaching in group settings
- Identifying and optimizing family resources in early intervention programmes
- Right to Education – in spirit and practice
