The interactive sessions focused on a range of issues:

  • Prevention of disabilities: availability, affordability and accessibility of technology; early detection of chromosomal abnormalities
  • Early Intervention for children with disabilities and associated disorders
  • The Child’s Brain
  • Balancing Therapies with special education in early intervention programmes – a team approach
  • Parents as effective carry over agents in the management of their children in home settings
  • Developing an Individualized Programme Plan (IEP) for teaching in group settings
  • Identifying and optimizing family resources in early intervention programmes
  • Right to Education – in spirit and practice
