Training at the Centre is based on “Upanayan” - Early Intervention Programme, developed indigenously by an inter-disciplinary team of experts from various specialties such as, Developmental Psychology, Neo-Natology, Audiology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Special Education and Information Technology. The training provided at MNC is both centre-based and home based. Parental involvement in the development and training of the children and in their own empowerment form the foundation of the training programme at MNC. Under the guidance of special educators, the parents are given ‘hands on training in the assessment and programming of their children as well as the children of all other parents. Parents are trained systematically to function as co-teachers and co-therapists of the children. In addition they are also involved in the planning of all the extra curricular activities of the centre.
